Facilitation: Engage Now Overview

Answers the question, “what ways can we actively engage participants”? The Facilitation: Engage Now workshop takes participants through 6 activities that will give them a chance to adapt and test out for their own work topics or scenarios.

The material in the workshop explores Active Engagement (one of the 5 Pillars) and 5 supporting components.

Come be engaged, so that you can spread it in your own way and become more effective in leading team meetings, delivering presentations or facilitating group sessions!

“Learning the approaches and having them demonstrated at the same time by the course facilitator showed me how effective the processes were. It was like having a pizza described to you while you tasted it!”

Registration Fees:

Non-Profit Rate – $300 plus 5% GST

Private/Public Sector Rate – $450 plus 5% GST

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will:

  • Describe the experience of having one of the Pillars in the Behavioural Facilitation Approach “Active Engagement” used throughout the day
  • Explore different strategies to challenging facilitation situations and gather wisdom from peers
  • Adapt at least one tool or method from six activities, presented and experienced in the session, for use in your own facilitation
  • Build a network of supportive peers to share and troubleshoot future challenges
“Learning the approaches and having them demonstrated at the same time by the course facilitator showed me how effective the processes were. It was like having a pizza described to you while you tasted it.
Several of the activities are things I will use almost immediately. The pillars of facilitation are going to be extremely useful in keeping me on track in controlling the room and keeping participants engaged in the discussion.
What I thought was going to be a long presentation and note-taking turned out to be a wonderfully interactive day. I came out of the jam-packed session energized and glad to have spent the time.”
